A Review: Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation
There are three different classes of foundation: drugstore, high-end, and really expensive. The average drugstore foundation cost $7-12. For high-end foundations, you can expect to pay $25-45. Really expensive foundations are those foundations that cost more than $50. These expensive foundations are usually from couture fashion brands, which is part of the reason for the high price tag. Another reason for the high price of these foundations is the amazing results.
Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation in shade Beige 80
Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation looks flawless in real life and in photography. Although it has broad spectrum SPF 19, it doesn’t look ghostly in pictures. This foundation comes in 16 different shades, ranging from pale shades to very deep ones.
This foundation is best for winter and fall because it is very creamy. However, if you blend it out, it’s possible to wear this foundation all year round. If you have oily skin, it will stay semi matte for a very long time. The formulation doesn’t cling to dry patches so it works for all skin types. On my t-zone, my natural oils don’t break through until after 8 hours of wear. The creamy foundation glides over the dry parts of my face and doesn’t cling to dry patches. If you have sensitive skin, there are no parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs, or triclosan to cause irritation to your skin.
I purchased this foundation in the summer and my shade was Beige 80. In MAC foundations my winter shade is an NW44. Now that it is fall/winter my skin tone is more similar to Beige 70.
If you’re interested in trying this foundation, get a sample from Sephora. Some Sephora stores may not have samples, if so you should bring a small plastic container and take some product from the tester bottle in the store. This foundation is pricey but the results are beautiful.
